All About T.J. Watt’s wife Dani Marie Watt

T.J Watt is a professional athlete who plays American football. He is currently the outside linebacker for the National Football League Pittsburgh Steelers. He was born on 11th October 1994, in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. His two older brothers, J.J and Derek Watt, also play in the NFL. 

T.J was a finalist for the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in 2019 and 2020 and eventually won it in 2021. He also tied the single-season NFL record for most quarterback sacks in a season, matching Michael Strahan’s 22.5 sack record set in 2001. 

T.J. Watt and Dani Marie Watt dated for six years before marrying

The linebacker is married to Dani Marie Watt. They were together for six years before finally tying the knot in 2022, a year after they got engaged. The couple celebrated their wedding ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with family, friends, and teammates. 

Dani shared a wonderful moment of the special day on her Instagram page with the caption, “When I was a little girl I never thought I’d find someone special enough to ever change my last name…But I found him and couldn’t be happier to share a name with the man of my dreams….”

Dani Marie Watt played football for the University of Wisconsin-Madison

Dani was born on 8th April 1998, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She grew up there with her two brothers and attended Waukesha West High School, where she played basketball and soccer. Watt was captain of the basketball team in both her junior and senior years. 

Marie then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she met her husband, T.J. She played soccer for the school, becoming a Big Ten Forward of the Year and receiving an All-America Second Team honor in 2019. Watt graduated from the university in 2020 with a degree in life sciences communication.

Dani continued playing soccer professionally. In 2020 she played for the Chicago Red Stars in the National Women’s Soccer League. Here, she was teammates with her now sister-in-law, Kealia Ohai, who married J.J. Watt in 2020. 

In 2021, Dana signed with ​​Thróttur Reykjavík, a professional team in Iceland. She said on Instagram, “Excited to finally announce that I will be continuing my professional soccer career and have signed with @throttur in Reykjavik, Iceland!”
