Virgin River Season 5 Release Date: Everything We Know About the New Season

The fourth season of Virgin River premiered on 20th July on Netflix and, just like in season three, fans have been left in suspense leaving them looking to when season 5 will likely be released.

The show is based on a series of novels by Robyn Carr and was developed by Sue Tenny. It depicts the story of nurse and midwife Melinda Monroe, who leaves behind her traumatic past to work and start over in Virgin River, North California.

The Netflix show embodies the classic small-town series feel and is a perfect romantic drama that gets you invested in all the relationships formed and leaves you longing for the next moment.

Virgin River was renewed for a fifth season

The news dropped following the release of the third season. The announcement that the show had been picked up for a fourth and fifth season was made on the show’s Instagram page with the help of stars Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson.

Virgin River Season 5 will likely premiere in the Summer of 2023

With the recent release of the fourth season, we do not have a release date for season 5 as of July 2022. However, we can use the past patterns of how the show has been released to make an educated guess.

The show has been a huge success for Netflix ever since its release. Season 1 and 2 were released in November 2019 and December 2020 respectively before Netflix moved the show to its summer programming in 2021. Since its release, Netflix has been giving us one season of Virgin River per year, so it is safe to say that the earliest we can expect season 5 is in 2023.

Seasons 3 and 4 have been released in July 2021 and 2022 respectively. From the looks of it, we could be getting the fifth season of the show around July 2023.
