When and Where To Stream Thor: Love and Thunder

It’s been three years since we last saw the Asgardian on the big screen. Thor: Love and Thunder is clearly worth the wait as it is Thor’s fourth solo outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Taika Waititi back as Director, we can expect a witty and action-packed film just like in Thor: Ragnarock.

Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as Thor in the film. Natalie Portman also comes back as Jane Foster for the first time since 2013, only this time she has a hammer of her own! The movie also stars Waititi and Tessa Thompson, who both reprise their roles as Korg and Valkyrie respectively, Jaimie Alexander, Russell Crowe, and Christian Bale as the villain Gorr the God Butcher.

When will Thor: Love and Thunder be available for streaming?

Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled for theatrical release on Friday, July 8th. It will therefore not be available for online streaming for a while. Additionally, Disney usually doesn’t have a consistent timeline regarding the digital release of these films.

The best way to estimate is by looking back at the recent MCU films and when they were made available for streaming. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness took around 47 days before its digital release. The Eternals took 68 days, and Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was released digitally after 70 days.

Therefore, Thor: Love and Thunder will likely be available for streaming in 45+ days. We also have to consider that this year’s Disney Plus Day will be on September 8th, 64 days after Thor: Love and Thunder’s theatrical release.

It could be a perfect day to make the film available for streaming on the platform. It also wouldn’t be the first time they’ve done it. Shang Chi premiered on the platform during last year’s Disney Plus Day.

Where will Thor: Love and Thunder be streaming?

Since the MCU films are under Disney, we can expect that the film will be available to stream for free exclusively on Disney+.

If you don’t have the streaming service, you can either rent or buy the movie from either Amazon or Apple TV.
